The town's main attraction is the late Gothic Deanery Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, famous for its unique relocation on rails, which saved it from coal mining. The church is surrounded by a pleasant park with exhibitions in the crypt and an accessible lookout tower. Another highlight is the Matylda reservoir on the edge of town, which offers a popular in-line and cycling circuit as well as ideal facilities for water sports. Cyclists can also visit the multi-purpose Benedikt complex with well-kept sports tracks, bathing areas and playgrounds. Fans of adrenaline and motorsport will appreciate Autodrom Most, a world-renowned racing circuit hosting prestigious international championships as well as safe-driving courses. On the reclaimed Velebudice spoil heap lies Hipodrom Most, a top-class racecourse with an extensive in-line track and a riding school. Other attractions include Hněvín Castle and Lake Most, each of which has its own article on our site.
