This modern recreation area was created by completely flooding and revitalising the former Chabařovice brown coal mine. The lake offers clean water suitable for bathing, swimming and non-motorised water sports. A network of cycle paths has been built all around the lake, completely separated from motor traffic and offering various surfaces depending on the chosen circuit. Cyclists can use the nine-kilometre asphalt circuit, also suitable for in-line skating, or the slightly shorter gravel route running right along the shore past the main beaches near Trmice and Chabařovice.
